1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a booking enquiry, confirming a reservation, or attending an event at Lora Gardens, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you are making a booking on behalf of an organisation, group, or another person, you represent that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf, and you are responsible for ensuring your guests comply with them.

2. Our Services

Lora Gardens is a garden venue offering spaces and services for a range of occasions, including but not limited to:

• Weddings, ceremonies and celebrations
• Corporate functions, conferences, boardroom and meeting hire
• Private events and exclusive whole-venue hire
• Accommodation and suites
• Dining and hospitality experiences
• Outdoor gardens, indoor venues, studio and other bookable spaces

Availability, capacity, pricing and inclusions vary by space and are confirmed by our team as part of your booking. Descriptions and imagery on our website are for general guidance and may be updated from time to time.

3. Bookings and Enquiries

Submitting the booking form on our website creates a booking enquiry, not a confirmed reservation. A booking is only confirmed once our team has responded, agreed the details in writing, and any required deposit has been received.

• You agree to provide accurate and complete information in your enquiry.
• Dates and spaces are held on a first-confirmed basis and remain subject to availability until confirmed.
• We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our reasonable discretion.

4. Quotations, Deposits and Payment

• Quotations are valid for the period stated and are subject to availability.
• A deposit may be required to secure your date; the balance is payable by the date specified in your booking confirmation.
• Prices may include or exclude items such as catering, décor, staffing and additional services, as set out in your quotation.
• Bookings are not secured until the agreed deposit has been received.

5. Cancellations, Postponements and Refunds

Cancellation and postponement terms, including any applicable fees or refundable amounts, will be set out in your booking confirmation. As a general guide:

• Deposits may be non-refundable, in whole or in part, to cover held dates and preparation.
• Cancellations closer to the event date may attract higher charges.
• We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate postponements, subject to availability.

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel a confirmed booking.

6. Your Responsibilities

As an organiser or guest at Lora Gardens, you agree to:

• Confirm final guest numbers by the agreed date and not exceed the capacity of your space.
• Ensure you and your guests behave responsibly and comply with our staff's reasonable instructions.
• Obtain our prior approval for external suppliers, décor, equipment, fireworks or special arrangements.
• Take responsibility for any loss or damage to the venue, property or grounds caused by you or your guests.
• Comply with all applicable laws, licensing conditions and health and safety requirements while on the premises.

7. Access, Timing and Conduct

Access times, set-up and breakdown periods, noise limits and closing times will be agreed as part of your booking. We may refuse entry to, or remove from the premises, any person who behaves unlawfully, unsafely or in a manner that disrupts the venue or other guests.

8. Liability and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lora Gardens shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss, theft of or damage to personal property, vehicles or items brought onto the premises by you, your guests or your suppliers.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. You agree to indemnify Lora Gardens against any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your use of the venue or any breach of these terms by you or your guests.

9. Health, Safety and Compliance

Your safety and that of your guests is important to us. You and your guests must comply with all safety signage, emergency procedures and reasonable instructions given by our team. We reserve the right to make changes to arrangements where necessary for safety or compliance reasons.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images and video, is owned by Lora Gardens or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content without our prior written permission.

We may capture photographs or video at the venue for promotional purposes. If you would prefer that images of your event are not used, please let us know in writing in advance.

11. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference and complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By using our services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, load-shedding, fire, flood, illness, government restrictions or other force majeure events. In such cases we will work with you in good faith to reschedule where reasonably possible.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion, and failing resolution, referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in South Africa.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or business practices. The current version will always be available on our website with its effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
